A war OF terror

In the past our leaders offered us dreams of a better world.

Now they promise to protect us from nightmares. The most frightening of these is the threat of an international terror network.

But these nightmares are not true. In this program (below), the Power of Nightmares explores how the idea that we are threatened by a hidden and organised terrorist network is an illusion.

It is a myth that has spread unquestioned through politics, the security services and the international media.

This war on terror is bogus

Massive attention has now been given – and rightly so – to the reasons why Britain went to war against Iraq. But far too little attention has focused on why the US went to war, and that throws light on British motives too.
